Looks like he's thinking......."get that camera outta my face !".

That's usually the reaction I get .

Portraits do lend themselves to B & W conversion pretty good. This one is no exception. I know it's not exactly macro, but it is close up and I've just picked up a Nikon 4T close up lens. Just have to convince my family they really need to be photographed in close up :-).

What set up are you using ? I notice you, or your editing software strips the Exif, so I can't sneak a look :-).

Regards,

Stevekin.

The EXIF data should be available on my website.

I think I placed this photo in the black and white gallery, though it might be in people.

First page of People.

Now realise your dad is perhaps not in a pensive mood, more like he's still half asleep. What, with this pic being taken at 7.30 amon Xmas day

Had a look around your site, lots of really nice stuff. Will look some more later.

Steve.

I don't know if it's deep in thought but I love the picture.
Nice composition and superb toning.

Michael. I recommend you look at Frank's web site. I'm sure you will find one or two pointers for portraiture.

Ooh, 'don't mention the Germans', as Basil Fawlty once said.

Frank is from The Netherlands (Holland) that means he is Dutch (I presume), but that doesn't make any difference, I can't read it either :-).
