My 2cents. I may have blinked twice when I first saw the photo, but immediately I didnt see anything wrong. And I immediately realized modeling is one of the specs of photography. Infacta livingmodel cannot be outdone by a flower, a mountain, a fountain, or a statue. Not even the pyramids. This website is beautiful with its wealth of photographic information. Theres noway an insignificant nude model can taint it.As having done nude modeling photography, and knowing it is about a business, and as professional as apple pie, its still kind of sad that it has to be controversial. But there will always be two sides to everything.

No point in flogging the dead cat here I reckon. If moderators like to post nude girls up on this public website, then it's their choice to go ahead and tarnish this site. And if you reckon it's acceptable, then just remember this...if one person (especially a mod) does it, then this opens the door to many others to do this...in the future. Because the example has already been set.
Actually, this is far from the first post including nudity (try the search function...any post containing nudity must include a "nude" warning in the header). This site & forum area is populated by an international group of members. Similar to television, everyone is free to choose to view what they want. And, just like television, if you think a nude image "tarnishes" the site, then don't open a thread with "nude" in the title.

As long as I'm posting...

OH MY, if this is so then we had better run through all the museums and art galleries in the world including the Vatican and spray paint over the works of the master, some kids MAY accidentally see them. :blah:

You are expressing your viewpoint, which is valid, but don't be too surprised when the rest of the population does not share your hangup with thehuman form.

The nude figuredoes not equal pornography. I must say after seeing some of the video games and shows kids watch these days the simple nude figure is extremely tame by comparison.

Let me answer your question with a question. Do you understand or comprehend the word 'may'? Because that's the word I used Pierre...if you scroll back up to one of my posts in this thread.

Wow! I cannot help but get involved in this one. My point is NOT whether the picture is porn or not. Just ponder this:

My 10 and 12 year old kids love to use my camera, and they both visit this site to look at all the pictures (usually landscape, wildlife, etc). I have a router with parental controlls so I do not have to worry about them visiting porn sites. StevesDigicams.com is NOT listed in my parental control software as a porn site... Should it be? Should 10 and 12 year old boys be viewing that yet?

So what's wrong with nudity? For centuries the grand masters of art have cherished and honored the human body by displaying it. Kalypso's work has always been tasteful, especially the nudes. Perhaps if this country was more open about the human body, we would not be inundatedwith porn.Kalypso keep up the good work!

Yet another highly intelligent and well thought out response as always.

The only person who can decide what their 10 & 12 year old kids view is a parent. Parents have to decide what values they pass on to their children. If you think nudity is "bad" there is a good chance your kids will too.

I can probably list 15 other sites that specialize in glamour/fashion photography. I can also point you to at least 9 sites that focus on figure or fine art photography. None of them will be filtered out as "porn" by parental control software. Both types of sites contain more nude images in a week than you will see here in 6 months.

If anybody is so uptight & worried about nudity being "bad" or always considered "porn", I'll be glad to provide a list of Proxy Servers (that you can set your browser to use) that will filter out any content with "nude, nudity, naked, nekid, babes, buns, etc, etc, feel free to insert your hangup here...(oops, I said insert)" in it.
