Well I decided to make an overview of my best shots from 2004-2005.
You can view it at www.lulu.com/doorhof

Let's see where this goes .

Greetings,
Frank

What a great idea Frank, although I haven't commented much in your threads, I HAVE followed you along for some time now. Always fascinated with your shots, I felt as though my comments would just simply mirror the other compliments already offered. I know one can probably never be too tired of compliments, I just didn't want to be redundant. Anyway, forgive my lack of input. I frequent your site also, to envy the shots that aren't shared here, and again am fascinated. I would love to hear how this latest venture works out for you, and wish you all the best. Keep up the great work, and keep us posted.

Thanks for your contributions,

Dave...

Thank you so much.
I have decided to make the book because alot of people asked me about a printed version of my pictures in a collection like a book.
I have selected 44 of my personal favourites and designed the book arround this.

So let's hope there are some people buying it :-)

Best wishes for lots of interest in your photo book. Likewise, I've been thinking of publishing a coffeetable photo book of my own - quite a few friends and family have been after me to do one these past few years. I'm fairly sure I have enough content to complete it at this point.

Good luck :-)

If you're interested in publishing your work and "doing it right", it wouldn't hurt to check out this article by Michael Reichmann:Private Photographic Book Publishing

If you haven't seen his website, it's www.luminous-landscape.com There is a goldmine of information and inspiration for the serious photographer.

Cheers,

Well at this moment I can offer the book for everyone for $ 19.88 I doubt that's ever possible with this method, unless I order 1000 pieces.

What I have heared is that the print quality is very good when delivered highres material, so I delivered insanly high quality, took me a day to upload, almost 1.4 GB's of data .

The first batch will be in next week so I will make my judgement by then.

I hope you didn't take my comments as a criticism of your work, Frank. I merely mentioned the Reichmann article as a resource for those investigating the complexities of creating a four-colour offset print monograph. It certainly opened my eyes.

Lulu sounds like an interesting/affordable option. Question; do you get a chance to proof your work before production copies are made? What printing process/paper/ink does Lulu employ?

Good luck; let us know when you see a finished product.

Today I received the books.
I must say I'm impressed
The quality of the photo's is good and the pricing is right, offcourse a glossy print is better but we are talking about arround $19.00 per book and for that money I don't think you can get it better.

Frank:

I have never sent you any comment, however I see all your posts and really love them.

Formerly I'm a telecommunications Engineer, however photography is my pasion. I never studied it formerly but my dream is specializing in portraits / Glamour shoots and one day open my studio and live from shotting. You really inspire me.

Where can I get your books? In Mexico I can't find them.

Congratulations for all your pictures, they are amazing.

(Sorry for my bad english)

Marco
