My first outting with the Olympus to photograph Steven Kellogg & The Sixers. Very small club called The Acoustic Cafe in CT. Very small stage and a poor lighting. These pictures made me realize I need to invest in the 14-54 2.8 Pro Lens.

I wouldnt go with a 14-54 2.8 Pro Lens. I would go with a bigger flash. Or a lens with an aperture setting of 2 or less, for the low light. The shot came out pretty well, a bit blurred, but not bad.

yeah, a 50mm 1.4 or 1.7 would be of much help in the low light, and the 1.7 can be had cheaply if you dont need a good macro.

The lens that comes with the camera is a 14-45mm 3.5. I'm thinking I could get better shots in low light with the 2.8??? I don't know if Olympus or Sigma makes a digital Lens 4/3 that's less than a 2.8??? If you know please share.

Thanks.

I got these off the Sigma Website. These would all be ok for low light situations. I was surprised Sigma does not make a 50mm with a low aperture.

28mm F1.8 EX DG ASPHERICAL MACRO
24mm F1.8 EX DG ASPHERICAL MACRO
30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM

Hope this helps.
