Hi all,

Did my first shots today with my brand new dsc-f717. Me happy
I need to learn so much 'cause this is my very first experience with a digicam. (well, had no camera before though)

I know it's not a good shot, just wanted to share

Thanks Gib,

I'll do my best to make nice photos. Got a lot to learn.
If you want to see more, I setup a gallery on my server. (It might be a bit slow, I'm sharing the connection for 12 other machines)

Here's the link:

I just don't understand how you people do it...

I have a Canon A1 SLR film camera, with a 1200mm telephoto lens that's 2x teleconverted...making a total of 2400mm, and I can't get that close!

As far as I know, that camera used for this shot has a maximum of 190mm. How does someone get a picture like that? When I try with my Canon A1 with a 400mm lens, the animal leaves far before I get that close...

I just don't get what I'm doing wrong...
