Sorry, it's the original shot was taken from a low angle on a gray day, just before the rain started. You're seeing a solid rain cloud in the background. The only thing done was to Enhance Auto fix in Adobe.

Very nice shot with lots of character -not sure I understand what point was being made about the background :?Looks perfectcly natural to me given the fact that you wereobviously at a low angle.
