my castnet gallery http://www.pbase.com/djprov/castnet

This is the state of commercial fishing in my state quite different than a few years ago when fisherman could make a decent living fishing. These fishermen used to care for the enviroment, the fish populations and the well being of the River. After a few laws were passed and voted on by the population of mainly part time residents life has been much harder on the fishermen and worse on the enviroment. Now the laws favor property development which in turn has polluted and muddy up a once clear estuary.

Comments and suggestions always welcome

My favourite out of the two will be the first one. I liked the two pelicans consistently following the two fishermen while one of these guys throwing some fishing net as with the direction of the diagonal placement of the figures conveying the movement. Maybe you could crop some foreground and just a little from the left handside, without touching the fishing net, so as to accentuate the above mentioned theme.
I can almost feel the humidity enough to blur the image including the colours.
Regards,
B.

Thanks B,

for viewing and commenting. I see what you are saying. I like the repetitive idea you have from the foto. Thanks again, dp.

Haven't browsed the people forum in a while. Missed this one. Lovely capture, and the birds certainly add to the flavor. It's a shame to read the river has been stressed, but you would never guess from your gorgeous pictures.
