It was long ago since your last post but glad to see you're back again here on the forum....

Asoften I do not want to comment exposition, light...etc as your work is allready known....

I will comment ideas, composition.....

Really really like the reality of the colors on #1 photo with strong colors giving wanderful look....also her look is excellent, eyes expression just "killing"...really congratulation. Using black background was excellent choice...total winner.

I like her expression on the photo #5. Would mind better closer crop to her face as this is the main issue here. Everything from the sholders to down is not important...her head is everything good and important to be seen.

I do prefer her look on #3 among the others with trees over her body and head. Like the saturation and the lights used on this shoots. Dark background wuold be wrong so again excellent work.....

thanks for sharring

and hope to have shorter pause untill next time

Zak

Hey Frank, #1's and 2's are my favourites, jst the simplicity¬* of it, with good strong basic colors and a killer model..The colors¬* and black lines added nice emphasis to the contour of the face and neckJules

Fantastic Frank!!

What lense did you use......As Dave told you (headhunter) we just purchased the 5D!!! It should be here in a week. Your pictures always look great! How far away do you put your models from the backdrop? I still have troubel getting the background to look perfectly black, and the white really white ( without blowing out the subject) Any tips? Maybe in a few years I could come closer to your level!

Hi,
I use the Tamron 90mm f2.8 mainly in the studio and in close quarters the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 (or full bodies in the studio), and of course the 50mm 1.4 from Canon

The models are app. 2 mtrs from the background (sometimes a bit more or less).
The key is placing your lights CLOSE to the models.

When you move your light let's say 3 mtrs from the model and the model is 3 mtrs from the background you will never go black, when your model is 2 mtrs from the background and the light 50cm you will go much darker.

Greetings,
Frank
