Went to the Christening of a friend's baby girl this past weekend. I thought b&w worked for this shot. What do you think?

That's especially high praise coming from you Frank! I don't do much portrait work as I don't have a knack for lighting and posing. But, I do a lot of sports shooting which helps me anticipate moments.

Thank you both. But, it's amazing how different people are. My friend's extended family (if views and downloads from my website are any indication) vastly prefer a rather boring shot of the mother holding the baby (I say boring because you can't really see the baby's face - and how many other snaps do you think they have of mom holding the baby?).

So, just a note that the 'client' (even if they aren't paying) may have a vastly different opinion of what a good shot is than the photographer.
