Overall, I like the second one better. The fence in number one takes away from the appeal, drawn across the neck like that. I know we can't steer these guys where we want them. Nice group photo in number two, I am just puzled about how to shoot that sort of scene with the great amount of light reflecting on the snow. I think I'd try to zoom in a little tighter to minimize the amount of white, but just my opinion. Best regards,

Yeah, KennethD that probably would've worked better but I don't have teleconversion lens for my 8080 yet. I'm working on it though. Thanks for your comments.

Hi djazz,
I like the second photo. Very nice! The first could have been good if the legs of the goose had not been cut. :G Rgds, Quan |

Image 1 is definately not as strong with the fence in the background. Image 2 isn't bad, but just doesn't excite me. The geese are the primary element, but with the snow and trees in the background, they just don't stand out. A tighter crop and lesser DOF would make this image more effective.

Next time you have objects moving away from the lens, consider framing them as they are leaving the frame.
Here is an edit for demonstration purposes only. I corrected your white balance and increased the red and yellow midtones to give the scene a warmer more natural tone. Rodney |
