Greetings all. I have been avoiding posting a picture since I joined. This was taken on our Christmas Holiday and is on of the first I took with a digital camera. It is also one of the first of any type I have taken for years-be nice:!:

Be nice??? No worries...What a great way to start posting. That little lizard in the middle of the patterns is really an eye catcher. I love the colors, and the composition. Best regards,

That is very nicely done. I agree with KennethD, the geometry works well here. The effect, though (in keeping with the "Critiques and Techniques" theme) is that the geometry is a bit too distracting. Perhaps a tighter crop would make the iguana the focus of interest rather than the palm leaves. I say perhaps, because I tried a couple of cropped versions of your shot and I didn't really like them any more than the original. Keep 'em coming.
