The rocks on the left are distracting to me. What I've noticed on this post and most of your other posts is your very good choice of complimentary frames.

I don't find the rocks to be a distraction, instead I feel they help naturally frame the water. As I usually findin your offerings, I feel this shot is composed well, the only 'suggestion' I offer serves more of a personal preference issue. I tend to like a longer exposure on moving water. It obviously smooths it out more, but to me adds more 'serenity' to the scene. Again though, it's a preference thing. Well done.

I really like this as it is. Wonderfully colours .... Those rocks and the tree really give it a different atmosphere to most other watery pix. Can na.

Proxes,
I'm not sure I'd want it any brighter. It's a primarily dark scene, but is properly exposed. Thank you for commenting. Old Codger, Possibly your monitor isn't calibrated correctly. I've tried to maintain the most contrast between the water and rocks it flows over. Additionally, the brightest element in this low key scene is the water so only bright elements are really distracting. Thank you for commenting. DaveN, Thank you for the comments. Canna W, Thank you for the comments. Rodney |

Great pic,but I agree That is should be brighter.I understand that it is supposed to be a dark pic but it would be better brighter,at least to me.

I'm curious. Was the water moving rapidly at that spot? It seems like it would be more still to me.But then again where I'm fromwhite water is uncommon. It maybe a difference in perception. I always associatefroth on the waterwith fast movement. Or from a fall that is steep.
I love the colors but there is something that does not bode well with my eyes. Perhaps, I need better glasses as I'm not certain what it is. |

Hey Rodney,
Exposure looks good from here. There appears to be some motion blur judging by the look of the rocks on left. The frame is a distraction in my opinion. |
