first time using a digital camera, never done much picture taking so took some pics of roses in my back yard please give me opinions on how i did

Post only one picture per post. It is the intent of this forum to critique only one posted photo at a time. Multiple posts of pictures in one post is not the intent of this particular forum. All of them seemed a bit too distant and dark. |

ok sorry didnt know new in here so thanks for telling me. Yeah it was nightime when i took the pics so the background was very dark. Just learning to use a digital camera so was trying to get opinions.

Try them early in the morning so that there isn't any direct light on the flowers and get in close using macro mode. You may want to try in the early evening when the sun isn't directly on the flower.
This way the detail is not blown out with the highlights having too much light. |

thanks, just learing how to take pics lol ive always just used an instamatic c amera so digital cameras are something im having to learn about so im experimenting. Ill get better as i learn more. Hopefully ill get the new Fugi S5100 i ordered this week im looking forward to it after so many people said said i would really like it.
