i like this shot alot..the composition is very good indeed.... my only critiques is that the horizon is a few degrees off to the counterclockwise.. and a lil unsharp mask would be nice to sharpen things up a bit..
nice intro shot indeed.. thanks for sharing.. dustin |

thanks for the comments! i had such a hard time getting the horizon to be straight hahaha... i shot this while i was fishing, and the grass around me was just soft and bumpy. on top of everything, the tripod keeps on wobbling =\ any suggestions on an inexpensive but a good tripod? thanks again.

you may do a search for dynatran tripods on ebay.. they make some knock-off monfrotta like tripods that i hear are quite good.. and if you do your bidding right you can get them quite cheap..

Hi,
This is a great shot and has more potential. If you don't mind manipulating your photographs that is. Yip - first off rotate to get the horizon - horizontal. then crop. If it was me I would then take the right hand stack of boats - all bar the first one in the distance and slide them back along their converging axis. Till the red boat was in line with the yellow one a little more. Even if I had to add more to theright hand canvas size. Then fill in another small boat detail in the gap. Its not an easy mod, but can be done with various PS techniques. I'm notnormally one forsymmetry at the best of time, but for this shot it my add more impact. All the same a great shot as it stands... Good stuff. |

this is very nice, personally i'd like to see a bit cropped from the bottom. nice effort though!
