Except for the funky glow around the couple this picture would have been very good.
I like all forms of photography. Purist to blended digital art. With that said I don't think the "purist" form can be done very well with a digital camera as it can be done with film. Digital in my opinion is a two step process. I have seen good shots made into spectacular ones with some judicious PP. |

I think its very nice shot. I may be completely wrong but I think the matching frame is taking the color level of the photo a little to far.

the funky glow i am not liking much now.. and the frame is too gaudy.. you are both right on those accounts for sure..
btw- i justshot some new "stock" to edit today... i have some good and darker/moodier things in mind... not sure when i will get to it thougt.. and.. i shot some more "purist" things as well, for those fans!! |

I was told or read somewhere that the best photos by the best photographers are always doctored even if the don't go around singing about it. I had the occasion to see some originals and the doctored version and agree that an attempt at both worlds is not a sin. I think it is what makes art, hmm?
