Hi All,
I am a little concerned that the pics I have been posting have been a little dark. I do all my work on a laptop as this is the only computer that I have. I went to my parents recently and when looking on their screen everything was far darker then when viewed on mine. Is there any easy way to make sure that we are all seeing the same (or as close as possible)? Is there an industry standard setting? I guess that there is not much that I can do being mine is a laptop, but any advice is appreciated. I have attached a few which I posted elsewhere, so please confirm that they look OK to you (not worried if they are not the best photos in the world, more concerned about levels). If they don't look right on your monitor, can you please post back what looks right on yours? Thanks, Mark. |

Mark, these photos are fine. They seem to reflect just the right amount of light depending on the conditions underswhich they were taken. Perharp you need to crank up the screen light on your laptop if you need more light. I use a laptop too and the light is fine.
Kind regards. Patrick. |

Hi Mark,
Norman Koren has a page on how to set up your screen correctly, which goes into quite a bit of detail. Somewhat technical, but might be of use: http://www.normankoren.com/makingfineprints1A.html If you're after a program to calibrate your monitor, he also has that: http://www.normankoren.com/makingfin...tml#QuickGamma Hope this helps! -Ben |
