here a picture that i took a few days ago, i posted a low rez pic so that it'll be easier of ppl to see.

some questions is, composition, kinda lost on this one. I think there is too much dead space around the squirrel but i cant decide which parts to cut.

other than that how is the the colour quality? i did shoot it warmer than it really is but dunno if that is a bad thing or good.

Personally I like the composition as it is. For your benefit though I've cropped to what seems to work for me, and muted the colours slightly to give a more natural look. I don't know if it's an improvement, just a different take on it.

The space around the squirel is not the problem for me with this picture....I like the
woodsy look to it...What ruined it for me was the tail of the squirel was cut off....
He was still cute though....

i agree... themissing portion of tail is most distressing!

seriously, that's the only composition complaint. i'm with Frenchy, though... the colors seem a bit overdone, and backnig off on the saturation a bit gives it a more natural look...

the tail missing is the biggest issue you have here.. i think a looser compostion would have allowed you to get the tail in and left a little bit of room behind himand the cropped it as i have.. also, you overdid the colors..

Don't listen to Dustin.... He cuts ducks in... OMG... Half ! ! !

dale

PS: Just kidding. Dusty right again... Cutting tails off squirrels is BAD.
I'm not so hot on the crop I rather like the original picture. Nice composition and bokeh.

Well, a little color adjustment certainly does help. I didn't care for the shade of green on the tree so I deepened it a bit, even if it might be less accurate.

I think the bigger problem is the composition. The squirrel is cut off to the right leaving a lot of dead space to the left, for no apparent reason. I think there needs to be something there to balance the image, so I gave him a little friend.
