I posted this in the Panasonic forum a few weeks back but didn't get much feedback on it. I thought it was pretty good but maybe it's just dull, or maybe the gamma on my monitor is too high and this thing looks too dark on most. Let me know.

I think part of the problem is the contrast. Try and boost it and see what happens. Also the composition is dull indeed. Kind regards

i think the problem is the dull grey day giving you uninteresting lighting.. this leaves the shot flat and not contrasty.. plus, as aumma says the composition is pretty straight forward.. work the scene, try some new angles.. make it interesting..

Hi Corpsy,
I really like this image. I find the grey skies and dreary weather really makes this a strong capture...very fitting. ~~StitchBabe~~ |

I see it now. It's so obvious! Who wants to look at some sad little statue in the middle of some gloomy cemetery? This picture needs more contrast, more color, more pizazz!
With a few adjustments to the contrast and color, I finally have the image I was trying to capture in the middle of a snowy cemetery in the bitter cold! ![]() |

Thanks Corpsy. That is much better and more appealing. Three cheers!
