The depth of field is excellent in this image...it's very important to see all the details in this macro image and you've pulled it off very well! Nice shot!

thank you for the positive feedback everyone!! as you can tell i like the "flower macro".i start by finding/growing/buying flowers...then i drag them back to my lair for photographing.i try to use daylight whenever possible but sometimes use a single bulb, when daylight isn't an option. then i usually try to capture what is interesting (to me) about that particular flower, color, texture, shape etc. i shoot with a nikon D70, a sigma 90mm macro or my tamron 70-300 telemacro sometimes with a nikon 6T close up filter. SOMETIMES i use a piece of poster board as a reflector (dustin, dale) i also use rice paper to diffuse light when necessary. i also have a black velvet drape and larger white poster board for backdrops. lately i've been using a tripod and shooting at f22 for more detail but also like to shoot for less DoF for softer, more abstract quality. then it's just a matter of paying attention to what is in your frame, what to include...what not to. for each photo posted there are several similar but not quite there shots. if you check out my flickr page you can see some are more of a series, where some images work better than others. i usually just do the basics in PP as explained by scott kelby by way of Dustin....that's about it...let me know if you need more info

Thanks Julie, I copied that imformation and will see what bits of it are helpful. But at the end of the day, as has always been said, it is the person behind the camera that does it. Kind regards. Jaki.
