I agree with everybody before me and it appears as though you are able to handle constructive criticism very well. :-)Keep posting pics andmaybe look into post processing software that can help tweak things.

when shooting with a long lens one needs to shoot as fast as he can. 1/500+ with a 300mm or greater lens.

I have to chuckle a bit after reading the remarks. I myself would be very happy with that shot.

I know. In a perfect world you would have been at a better angle, the focus would have been spot on, good DOF etc. A lot of members D O get those shots. Alas, I haven't made the grade. I can not ( or at least I haven't yet) make two things happen at the same time. They are 1...be there to see the shot...2 be ready with my camera when I see it. So from my point of view this one is lovely! Very close to a gold star. Keep trying. I'll try to post a better one before you do. Best regards,
