I find this a little surreal but it appeals to me for some reason. Comments welcome as always . . .

i can see the appeal hear, nice formalistic lines against soft nature scene. i think you captured it well, good color and detail and i like the angle of the railing.

Syd,I like this a lot. Nice colours and compostion. As Julie said, I like the lines of the railing in stark contrast to the setting. I think this is one of yournicest submissions to date - more interesting than office windows:G
Have you tried it in B&W - could be quite nice with heavy contrasts. PS - I like the way you tried to centrethe converging lines of the river and horizonin the middle top frame of the railing - clever. Just a little more centred would be great. ![]() |

Syd,
First off great original picture, that is until the Microsoft guys got their hands on it. Loved the colors and composition on the picture.Nice reflections too. LT |

Thanks for the glowing comments Steve & LT. I have been playing around with this image trying to lighten the foreground and frame a little without blowing out the sky.
Here's a rough edit to show what I mean. I like this pic' so may try getting it just right. I should also start charging Microsoft advertising space. Thanks dudes. |

I like the edit Syd (yours:G) from a colour / contrast point of view but I think technically its a bit blown out especially the trees on the right.
