wow, i think that's really nice. i like the way you filled the frame with the cat's face, nice symmetry and detail.

That photo is both a great start and a tough act to follow.
Maybe post another and lets see what you can do! |

I think its awesome, I know if it was my cat he'd be running away as fast as he can... Again great job.

Nice shot, but it seems to me that you have missed the focus slightly.
I would rather have seen very sharp eyes than a very sharp nose. The composition and exposure are spot on. |

Man, this is a cool picture. I have to thank you though, never thought about the Focus being on the eyes rather than on the nose. You learn something new everyday. Thanks Kitster, and Peripatetic for this lesson. What type of Kitty is it? Is it a mixed breed of some sort? Just curious because it looks like my Domestic Short hair/Siamese mix.

Hazmat is a mutt cat. We think he's either part Maine Coon or part Norwegian Forest cat, but since he was a shelter adoption, we have no way of knowing. The one thing I can say is that he's anything but a short hair cat.......oh, and he earned his name when he was10 weeks old. That's when wefound outhe had ringworm and was hazardous material to handle.
Thanks for the tip about focusing on the eyes. Next time I can get him in a cooperative mood (I found that chin skritch's work wonders), I'll see if I can take some more good shots. Here's what a good chin skritch get's you: ![]() The other photo was taken immediately after I stopped scratching  |
