How come you always come across a sinking boat whenever you go walking along a riverside? Just a simple shot taken last weekend, on a surprisingly windy day…

The River Thames is literally just over the road and walks along it are pretty much a daily thing for me. It is surprising to see so many neglected boats moored up.
Nice shot. |

get rid if the building(?) on the upper left and saturate it a bit to bring out the color
of the boats and i would hang this one on my wall! if you tighten the crop and eliminate the land all together, maybe you and stevedak could do a series... scot |

Thanks for the comments!
I can just see that series now – I'll take care of the sunken boats, stevedak can take care of the floating ones!! ![]() |

It's an interesting photo but I wonder if you could do more with it. I think it might be better with the whole of the boat in the frame, rather than cropped. Maybe not the front (bow?) but definitely the side.
Personal opinion, though. |

I just opened this in a new window with a white background and it looks much better to my eye- less 'jarring' that the boat is cropped off. In fact, with a white background I think I prefer that the boat is cropped.
