The original's rather bland, so thought I'd try a crop and some selective colouring. Worthwhile? Which is preferable, BW or Sepia?

Any additional observations/critique welcome as always.

I prefer the B + W....

I prefer the black and white. The sepia doesn't really work well with the red ball. A nice touch might be a bluish hue on the monochrome. Or perhaps green to accent the grass. The selective coloring is really nice though. Both green and blue would go well with red, ie RGB. Perhaps selective hue shifting to incorporate all three colors.

Where did you ever find such a cute dog...

Nate, Ken.

Thanks for the comments. I just noticed an irritating line across the middle of the shot, which I'm going to try and clean up. I'll also see about messing with a little more colouring.

I don't know... wherever DID I find such a cute dog!?!?

As promised, a cleaned up black and white shot, along with a silly one.

It's not just raining cats and dogs today, it's raining BLUE dogs.

Like the original B & W version OB - great action shot btw!

Steve, thanks for the comments - much appreciated as always.

You prefer the original BW with the path in, as opposed to the later one that is the same, except no path across the middle?

If so, what is it about having the path in it that makes it more attractive?

Just curious :)

Best wishes,
