Took this photo about 4 hours ago in colour, changed it to b&w, used channel mixer.
These drams were the last two to be brought up the mine before it was closed in 1979. Views please. Alex ![]() |

I like ita lot, great angle!!! I think your BW version works great here. It looks like a really old picture of a mine.

My heart still goes out to those miners and their families. An historic time in our history and a tradgedy for our Welsh mining communities. These miners were the backbone of the country and a profession to be proud of.
Alex, this is ashot worthy to be placed in the history books. |

awesome photo, the depth is reminiscent of film. very well done w/ the contrast and BW conversion. i'm a big fan of dark/burnt photos like this. great one!

I think this is very atmospheric. Technically its very good. Great B/W conversion, excellent exposure and good tonal range.
Particularly I like the focal length and angle you have selected which makes the composition very interesting. |

Congrats Alex on a very thought provoking image - Really has impact and the B&W is perfect to the subject and very appropriate to the 'times'. This, IMO, is the best you've posted - well done. Nice & sharp as well.
