i prefer the mono version myself.. though i would suggest you clean it up a bit.. lose the leaf and some of the dirt on the fur.. also if you have a slightly looser crop version, you may try to get the ears in the shot..

maybe do some selective color on the eyes and the rest mono. they'd really stand out then, idk how it'd look though just an idea.
