After seeing some of the more abstract things done by everyone. I thought I would have a go at revamping and ordinary sunset I had still on the computer.
Does it have any merit? Or worth exploring more? I was looking for an IR effect. The resize did not do it any favours in regards to artifact(?), the full size looks less pixelated. |

Hi Shadow, I wouldn't quite call this an abstract, but it is a pretty cool effect that really works well with this image. Definately a keeper.
Hope to see a flurry of posts from you with that replacement. :-) Syd |

Thanks ISoS,
For some reason I can hear echoes of people running away screaming as soon as they see "sunset" on the screen. :shock:So I wanted to reassure them that it was not a standard sunset pic. ![]() I probably should have titled it more IR Sunset. |

Thanks Jaki.
I am just playing around with old images until I can get back out and take some more. A bit busy with work and getting ready for our family holiday. I just find it amazing the amount of things that be done in PP that I would never have tried in the darkroom let alone been able to do. |

Shadowlies, the pp is the modern shadow room. I find it exciting and full of inexhaustible opportunities. Funny part of it is that there are folks who will not use it thinking they are doing something unacceptable. I learnt or rather read somewhere that even the greatest photo gurus in the past fiddled around with their shots in the darkroom. Something we should learn from. :G Regards. Jaki.
