I shot this one again and tried to implement any suggestions I've received on here.

I like this one much better. In my opinion a picture like this one tells a story. By adding the source of the rushing water. (upper right hand) You now see the entire story and it makes much more sense. Much better.

I didn't have much directional lighting at this spot today so I used a little fill flash to get a bit of shine from the rocks. Rodney |

Ah yes, I like this one much better. No need to brighten this one up. :-)
Edit: noticed just a little hint of motion blur on the leaves just above where the water is flowing from. Not the fault of the photographer, just wind not cooperating. |

I'm glad you mentioned the wind not cooperating. I was using a slow shutter speed and never once considered other elements in the scene moving. I guess I was just lucky this time that a big gust of wind didn't ruin the shot. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Rodney |

Oh, ok. At first I wasn't sure if it was wind and thought about whether you blurred it on purpose. It didn't look like natural motion blur.
But I knew you used a slow shutter and being this time of the year, wind is always a problem. |

Hi Rodney. I like the composition a lot better in this one also. Hey, I thought it was a mat not a frame! I thought I had learned something, darn
