I posted the original picture a few weeks ago after a friend had asked me to try and mend it. I said yes automatically, then regretted as I hardly knew where to start it was so badly damaged.

But a little persistance paid off. Now my fried is happy and so am I - his mum was so pleased she bought me a nice bottle of red.

I look at it now and think that I should have added a little noise to the new curtains background.

I think you have done great like ressurecting from the dead. Try working on the contrast and see how it comes out. Regards. Jaki.

Thanks for the kind wordsJaki. I did play with the contrast a bit, but somehow the picture lost it's character - it looked too fresh somehow. Nice of you to comment though, best wishes from Wales,

You did a good job. It still has that "old photo" quality but it's nice and clear.
