Went for a drive today looking... but came up close to empty. I did like this formation of trees. Winters skies are VERY GREY here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was an unsual day.
P.S. No moths were harmed in the aquisition of this photograph. <sorry><grin> When downsizing, what do you consider the best tool? Currently, I am using Photoshop ->Image size-> resample:Bicubic but I would like to get a sharper image. AM I asking too much? |

The white snowline chops off the bottom of the photo.
Maybe better cropped to accentuate the trees rather than the snow. |

i don't know- i like it just as it is. it has a minimalistic feel to it, the trees contrast nicely reaching up to the sky which is a rich, beautiful blue. the white puffy clouds balance nicely with the snow below- very nice.

I take Julies line. The light blue and white are great in the shot. Regards. Jaki

i think to capitalize on the minimalist feel, i would go with a mono conversion on this one, i think it would add some atmosphere as well.. i think that would look very nice and classy..

The snowfield seems a touch blue, but that is often the case when shooting snow on a day with blue skies. The snow reflects some of the blue, which our eyes compensate for, but camera doesn't. Composition is good.
Bicubic is fine for resizing. You may want to add a bit of sharpening after the resize, though, if that is what you are after. Reampling does lose some. DUHstin doesn't seem to get how hungry we in the northern latitudes get for COLOR in the winter. I don't think I have seen anything but monochrome for three months. ![]() brian |

Channel mixed version to greyscale. I think I like the colour version better.

I don't know - I think if you lighten the snow B&W has better impact. Hope you don't mind.

As per Brian's suggestions, removed the blue cast on the snow
