well its not exactly a sweeping landscape.. but hey, you do what you can in a botanical garden within the city.. lighting was harsh, and my grad nds aren't here yet, but i did the best i could..

as always, comments and critiques are most welcome..

btw- reuploaded because first resize lookedawful...

i think the perspective and content are incredible. the tone is rather harsh, though. too

dark. i love b&w's but just haven't posted any, for the lack of responce mostly, but, with

a few adjustments, i would definately hang this one on my wall.

this conversion was tough, very tough.. very little contrast to work with.. bad day overall lighting wise..

E.S. Crawford Oct 27, 2005 1:30 AM

still, the shot has a lot of artistic merrit, i think.

one thing that caught my eye was the tree on the right compared to the one on the left.

contrast of nature...?

life in one hand...death in the other?

or was it just winter and the leaves had all fallen off...

Hards80 Oct 27, 2005 1:47 AM

time of year.. some trees have lost their leaves, some have not..

some of the artistic look comes from the slight vignette i applied around the edges for fun.. :)

nice shoot. It would been great if the treefrom the left side would be alone without the one with leafs from behind...Nice botanical garden too...

Duplicate post DOH!!!

Excellent. I agree with Mad_grll on the tree but it still works as is.

Very nice. B&W gives it the timeless look. Could just as well be 1930.
