Hmmm.
I think the choice of black and white would be better with an old boat. Terry |

its a bit busy for me.. the overhanging limb and the harsh lighting takes away from the serenity of an old boat on shore....

Thank you both for your comments! New at this so all comments are helpful so I can learn more about the filosofy of photografing! :-)
Terry, I guess it depends on your point of view if it's an old boat or not... It's older than me so for me it's an "old" boat! :blah: But I know what you mean! Hards80, I agree, it's a bit busy... but I kinda like it anyway, it's just a quick snapshot... cropped alot! but the lighting... can you tell me more about what you mean and how I could have done it better? Thanks again! |

The way the young tree next to the boat cuts the photo allows for a different crop. Quick and easy but cuts out alot of the clutter.

There is just something about the crisp-ness of the B&W treatment that makes this quite a haunting photo. The crop, sorry to say, really diminishes the echoing quality of the reflections in the water of the boat & the "ladder" thing. I say leave it. It's done.

On another look, a bit more contrast would be nice. Just a matter of a bit more photoshop. |
