I've always sprayed these pests with weed killer, but now I have a greater appreciation for them.

I've noticed in your photos of yellow flowers that the yellow looks a little over saturated. That or my display is way off. Are you pushing the colors?

No, I do not push the colors. I often use a contrasty lens and generally push the highlights to the max. Pushed highlights, contrasty lens and early morning sun all contribute to the brightness of the yellows here.

I like the rich colours & detail, but also unexpectedness of seeing a dandelion photographed in a style normally bestowed only upon its posher relatives.

Ain't that the thing Rodney. I know I certainly look at all everyday objects in a different way since I took up Digital.

You have made this one shout at me "I'm not really ugly am I ?". When all said and done, weeds are only wild flowers/plants that some green fingered aficionado's once decided we didn't want around.
I like it.
