This is the first photo I've ever had the courage to post and I have to say it's very intimidating! Watery sunset - quite interesting how the sunforms a star. Know very little about image enhancement at this stage - all advice welcome!

Hi there!
I'm glad you took the step to post your first image on the forum! ![]() Sunset images are very beautiful and a lot of fun to shoot. You've done a good job on creating a silhouette against the sun. I also like the way the foliage is framing the sun into a star like shape as you mentioned! When you get the chance to try this type of image again, try to only include subjects that are identifiable when in silhouette. Your subject is very nice but the object on the left hand side of your image is unidentifiable and is more of a distraction. I find the foreground leaves on the right hand side also a distraction. Good subjects against a sunset could be a person, two people cuddling on a bench (make sure their heads aren't melded together), a tree, a bird...etc....easily definable subjects. I hope this helps you out a bit. We're all learning here so be sure to post again! :-) |
