Another practice session on the action, taken early evening so hope i got the light right. Canon 20D 75-300 1:4-5.6 ll USM.

I think it's pretty good although the dog is slightly out of focus in parts, and one half of its face is a little underexposed

yea... i agree, you missed the focus on this one a little bit.. the log in the foreground is also a distraction for me.. the lighting would have been a bit better too if you were shooting with the sun at more of an angle behind you, and he was looking more towards you.. that way, both eyes would have been getting some light.. shooting a little later in the evening will also give you a pleasant "warm" lighting..
