I couldn't shoot fast enough so she had already begun pulling the toys out of the basket when I made it back to the camera. :-)
Background is black seamless paper. Key light is shot through umbrella above and to her right. Fill light is large softbox placed left of camera(subject's right). Comments welccme. Rodney |

Rodney,
You say she was pulling toys out before you got to the camera, so was this something you caught without posing? It's a very natural look and the exposure is right on. I think I've read all of your comments on this forum and I enjoy reading them. One thing I haven't found was what type of camera do you use? Nice work. Dave Porter |

i really enjoy this one rodney.. the pure black background works very well here.. the expression and pose ( whether incidental or not) are wonderful.. the highlights in the hair are beautiful.. and my eyes naturally rest on the cute little girls big eyes.. nice work as usual..
to me a picture such as, where there is some interest and action, is much better suited to a child than just sitting them on stool with a generic background.. and i am sure the child's parents will treasure this one for years.. great, dustin |

headhunter66:
I had demonstrated and explained to her that we would reach in and get out a toy when I told her to do so. Of course, when I made it back to the camera she was slinging them out everywhere. LOL I use Nikon D100, D2x and Fuji S2pro. I use the D100 in studio and the D2x and S2pro are for weddings. Thank you for the comments. Hards80: It is difficult to get children this age(20 months) to sit still so it is most likely you'll get an action shot. :-) Thank you for the comments. Rodney |

How do you get an image THAT sharp? Even with my 70-200f/2.8IS on my 20D I've never had anything like that.
What processing did you do to the raw image? |

Rodney,
You're always giving us other guys something to shoot for. This is a great picture. I hope her parents appreciate your ability. HOWEVER... She should be charging you to model. dale |
