I've started commenting and thought that I should put something out there for feedback. Before he was Santa Claus, St. Nikolas was a bishop in Myra, Turkey.

I like the composition. Not to fond on the position of the child.

i also don't like the position of the child either, would rather have no child, or her positioned somewhere deeper in the scene.
went black and white with this, which let me boost up the microcontrast and contrast to make it a little more interesting. it may be over the top, but at least it pulled out some detail. |

But I also agree with the others that the kid shouldn't be there, or at least in a better position. All in all, I really like it! Dave |

I really like the composition, but don't like the child... gave it a little HDR-treatment in DPHDR, here's the result:

Thanks for the feedback. My wife told me the same thing about the child when she first saw the picture. Should always listen. I have some of the same shot taken just after she walked through. I just always liked the contrast between the old church and the young child, the colour and the fact that it was Santa Claus' church and she's carrying a doll. I suppose using this shot rather than the others makes it a bit more of a snapshot. I am interested in learning a more about HDR and have started looking around the HDR forum. I appreciate seeing some of the possibilities in the shot.
