Converted this from color to Black and White using Gray Scale Mode.

I have noticed when shooting with Digital Camera's the highlights become a problem much faster than with Film. So I tried to burn down highlights on right arm and right side of face.

In color the shot was not appealing at all but I think it looks good in BW.

Luckily the use of the camera's histogram can help identify those situations before post processing.

I agree I use the Histogram religiously. But. Digital camera's in general do not handle highlights well. I have had this problem even in studio when shooting Light skinned models. Sometimes when the model moves too close to lights or faces directly at light with oily skin bam! 255. Even with Softbox.

Any suggestions to better control this problem even when meter is reading correctly?

I have included a sample of problem.
