This is a little grainy as it was shot at ISO800. Thoughts anyone?

I like this. Just wish you had the top of that window in the shot. I like the subtle colours too.

I agree with syd love the colouring - almost looks like you added the blue on purpose to a BW conversion... (did you??). Looks really natural and a great scene.
It looks a lot like my town center- you ever been to my neck of the woods? Dom |

i'd like to see a bit less of an angle so we can see a little more of the doorways.. they look interesting.. maybe a few tight crops of the doors would make a nice little set..

Thanks all for your input. I've played about with this photo for a while and never noticed the corner of the window missing.
Syd, you may know it, its the road leading away from Lichfield cathedral. Dom, those are the real door colours, I overlayed a B&W copy over the top and then masked to let the original doors & railings show through. I also nicked the sky from another photo as it was very grey that day and I removed the double yellow lines just on principle. And no I've never been to Bury St Edmunds. Maybe one day, who knows. |

I'm afraid I find the composition a bit messy.
We don't see the whole of anything in the foreground, the door is cropped, the window is cropped, the front railing is cropped too. From the selective colours it would seem that I should be looking at the doors or railings but I don't think it's a very good view of them, considering how they are cropped. Without the colouring I would not be sure really what I was supposed to be looking at. It's a nice idea but doesn't come off for me. |
