This little guy must know what a camera is because he was practically posing for me for about 5 minutes. Here's one shot I got. Is the background too defined? Does it take away from the dragonfly as the subject of the photo?

A profile shot would look a bit more interesting. There is a bit much uninteresting space around the dragonfly. A closer crop would be better.

This Blue Dasher male is not showing off but rather "Obelisking" as a means of thermal regulation.

I realize that.It was an interesting day. The clouds were scattered, so the majority of the dragonflies were chasing the sun as the clouds cast their moving shadows. It only seemed as if he was posing because unlike most of the other ones he stayed in the samespot and waited for the sun to come to him.
