It was raining, overcast and generally a bad day for taking photographs, but I had my camera with me as always. This image had everything going against it, blown out sky, purple fringing in the branches, debris around the bench . . . but I tried to do something with it.
Comments appreciated as always. Syd |

Well...where to start. I'm lost for words. Composition...Very nice. Strong lines draw the viewer into the image. Nice variety of textures. Colour...Lots to discover here. The lighter colour and tones of the hill tops again reinforce the other factors that draw the viewer into this image. Two hidden surprises (red and blue) down by the bench! The trees form a nice pattern (tall, short, tall, short). Ok...what Don't I like? Not sure about the feathering that frames the image. Can we see a version that is matted by 18% grey and a regular border?
So let's see... This one caught me off guard. Quite unusual! Overall... I like it !!! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Excellent!!! Likely to be controversial...even better ![]() |

This image would fit in nicely with a 60's themed expedition. I'll let imaginations explain the colors. I quite like the image, though the sky doesn't seem to add anything. Not quite sure what could be done to make it contribute to the psychedelic theme.

A couple quick goes with the psychedelic theme. I just added different colored gradients to the sky in Picasa. Others will be able to do much better with the idea.

I really like the pink tones in the sky. Makes it seem to be a psychedelic trip into the fading sun...
