interesting. not sure I would go for such narrow DOF though... not enough in focus here for me.

Basically you shouldn't have to hunt for the focus, which is what I was doing. Close it down a bit and lets see the difference that makes...

you mean shoot it again with a higher aperture?

Yeah higher aperture number, which is a smaller aperture diameter.

I meant close the aperture, get more depth of focus.

I agree, interesting shot.

I like the composition and the colours. Nicely exposed.

I agree about the DOF.

Actually I like a crop of the middle as desktop wallpaper - which I find has its own aesthetic. Can't be too busy, can't be too dull, can't be too colourful or not colourful enough, can't be a portrait, shouldn't be a family member, lots of rules.

So I have attached an upressed version for wallpaper, no reflection on the merits of the original image.

:cool:didn't even think about it as a wallpaper. that's a good idea though. i'll have to try the photo again tomorrow or something because it's way to windy and rainy today. hopefully not too much will have changed. thanks for the comments!

*what were you talkin about when you mentioned too many rules?

little more dof and maybe a little more room above the car.. otherwise, its a cool idea.. looking forward to attempt #2

Looks like you shot this in portrait mode. Works for me. Hopefully the weather cooperates so you try out the suggestions made.

Lots of rules for what makes good desktop wallpaper I meant.
