interesting. not sure I would go for such narrow DOF though... not enough in focus here for me.
Basically you shouldn't have to hunt for the focus, which is what I was doing. Close it down a bit and lets see the difference that makes... |

I agree, interesting shot.
I like the composition and the colours. Nicely exposed. I agree about the DOF. Actually I like a crop of the middle as desktop wallpaper - which I find has its own aesthetic. Can't be too busy, can't be too dull, can't be too colourful or not colourful enough, can't be a portrait, shouldn't be a family member, lots of rules. So I have attached an upressed version for wallpaper, no reflection on the merits of the original image. |

Looks like you shot this in portrait mode. Works for me. Hopefully the weather cooperates so you try out the suggestions made.
