I made this photo at my very beginning with my new camera. I like very much how she looks and want to print photo for her.
Before printing I would like to make some improvementS since the light was strange during shooting and I was having hard time adjusting the colors.
Now, with your experiance, if you could suggest me what more should I done to have a better photo.
What about colors, should be differently cropped or anything else do not hesitate to suggest.

Regards Zak

Nice looking lady but you got to find some better backgrounds.

Maybe at night looking out off a bridge at some lights, or in a nightclub or something.

yea.. the lighting is really flat and unflattering in this shot... as is the background and the pose.. better to reshoot this one..

Thanks for your comments, the point has been taken.

Maybe some photoshop assembling should I try to change the background but I'm no expert in that field.

First try I made is to convert to b/w and here is the result, is this better than the color version or not.

B/W really does not change the background or lighting issues that have already been pointed out. I don't think it is ever a real good idea to shoot down at a subject when taking a portrait. You've also nearly cropped at the should avoid (for the most part) cropping at joints or where the body bends.

Selective color, sharpening and noise removal.
