This is the first flower of the season here on the 45th parallel. The blossom opened today in the sunshine.

1/500s f/8.0 ISO 100 Macro

The background seems too light, but I don't like the results I get from trying to change it. Comments or suggestions for fixing it welcome.

Mine are purple.. Have you tried masking it and toning down the background??
