I am not sure how far away you were but some fill flash would have helped here.
Without it though this is a nice sharp detailed capture. Left side is a bit dark due to lighting so that is why I suggested the possible use of fill flash. |

I wouldnt recommend flash, as it would disrupt the delicate back lighting.

Nice sharp picture. I feel your pain on getting critters to not move too much. They are a nice challenge.

nice birdie . Altought the backlight it's a litle distracting you have a nice pic.Remember one thing...shoot in raw and then use photoshop for diffrent exposures.

Actually, the only thing I don't like about the shot is the nasty looking table the bird is sitting on, otherwise it's a really cherry!

Nasty looking table is my first hand made bird feeder lol.But im saving to get a nice one hehe :-)
