While this little fella's mates realize they are a variety of Canada Goose, he seems to think he is a Flamingo.

Anysuggestions to improve it, apart from offering him a crutch.

Thanks.

LOL!! that is too funny dude!!

one thing to watch with bird photos...is to make sure you have the whole bird in the frame...usually cushioned with a bit of empty space..

you got his foot very close to the edge here...

you could probably slide the bird to the left a bit in the frame...so he's looking into the photo...and less centered..

I think that goose would be pretty in pink. :blah:

Seriously, the cropping on the bottom just chop off the foot. Maybe a crop showing the whole feet would be nicer.

Thanks for the pointers guys. Unfortunately lack of experience meant I didn't concentrate enough on the shot and, because of me, he may now need two crutches.

This is the original, only cropped for the best fit, and that distracting box by his bill removed, with nothing more available to the right. Thanks again.

And here he is after a little surgery.

I think you need a little darkening of the ground under the bird to make your "fixed" photo look more real :)

Thanks Paul. You are right of course, but it was a rush job to try to squeeze the foot in.Does the foot look OK though ? It is just a copy of the hanging foot, which of course is the wrong one.

By the way. You might know where I took this shot, Quinton Pool.
Nice to see your Ebay sale go alright.

Regards,

Stevekin.
