This is an impulse shot of model going to ladies room. The black backdrop is the curtain to seperate the ladies room from the public area. Used on camera flash and ambient light to create this affect. I wanted a black and white affect with only model in color, thisis a full color photo.

Don't laugh when I tell you my high tech diffuser technique. I used my 580EX with a large piece of hand held form core. Digtal Rebal held vertical 580 ex pointing to left with very slight forward angle towards form core (3'x4'). Set Flash to Manual, camera with Tamron 28-75 f2.8 @f4 ISO 100 slow shutter60-80 or less. There was additional light comming from overhead and from windows on opposite side of room. Digital editing was minimal this is pretty much howshot came off camera. Only used Photoshop to bring down black levels so details wouldn't show on dirty curtains. My original image before convering to web size shows the Women Only in brighter white the conversion process faded the words a little. |
