So, I was making a photo slide show for my dad. The first attached image was the original print that had taken a lot of damage over the years. When I got it to my computer, I decided to have a go at it with photoshop.
The skin tones of the man are way off, but I was having a really hard time getting it right. What do you think? Feel free to try it yourself. |

Here is the edit. Up close, a lot of the work is really sloppy, but you get the idea.

hmm... kind of looks like the incredible hulk stole a baby.. hehe
i doubt i can do anything with this to improve it though... besides convert it to black and white, which is always an option.. there are some PS gurushere that might be able to help you... |

I might be wrong but there is too much yellow color on his skin, all over.
Maybe try additional *selective color* adjustment...???:? But in global improvement is excellent ![]() |

Hey, Hards. I know what you mean, he is quite hulking. The easiest thing for me to do was convert to black and white and add Hue/Saturation adjustment layers for the coloring. I tried a little selective color stuff, too, but I was having a real hard time for his skin. And ZakD, you're right. He is really yellow. He started looking blue when I took out yellow. I'll have to see what I can do this weekend.

Well, you do not have to reduce the yellow color, you should ADD RED color and that is why you need to use selective color in photoshop.
See, I make quick try just for showing the point what I mean. Hope you dont mind I try. Regards Zak |
