took this in a parking lot the other day. was limited as far as aperture to 4.0 i think. wish it had more background blur but i might just do it in PS.

Im a sportbike rider so that may be swaying my judgement but this is a bit unintersting in its presentation. It would either have to be a closer zoom to show more detail in the bike or a perhaps a more dynamic angle to the bike.
or perhaps its just not a crotch rocket:-) |

yea.. this is a bit less inspired than a lot of you shots.. i would want a better angle, something different, this ones a bit flat..

Needs some fill flash to pull it out of the background, and maybe a better background, like a beach or something.

The contrast is not very distinct too. May be because the background seem to be competing with the bike. Really close up might have made a difference.

Yah, given the background, you'd want to shoot wide open and blur the background as much as possible, then use a bit of fill flash.
Most bike pictures I've seen, the photographer gets low so that they are shooting "up" a little at the bike. Maybe try shooting from about bike seat height. Shooting from eye level (five feet six inches?) down at the bike makesthe bikelook diminutive. Terry |
